Seller Policy for Rupbaz
Applies To: All registered and verified sellers on RupBaz.com.
Welcome to RupBaz. To ensure a high-quality shopping experience and a fair marketplace, all
Sellers must adhere to the following policies.
1. Seller Eligibility & Verification
- KYC Compliance: Sellers must be Bangladeshi citizens or registered business entities
with a valid Trade License, NID, and a Bank or bKash account. - Verification: No products can be published until the Seller completes the KYC (Know
Your Customer) verification process. - Platform Fees: Currently, there is no Registration or Subscription Fee. However,
RupBaz reserves the right to introduce such fees in the future with prior notice.
2. Product Listing & Authenticity
- Genuine Products: Only authentic and legal products are allowed.
- Counterfeit Goods: Selling fake, replica, or counterfeit items is strictly prohibited.
- Legal Responsibility: If a Seller lists counterfeit products and a brand owner takes legal
action, RupBaz shall be held harmless and is not liable for such violations. The Seller
will bear all legal costs and consequences. - Prohibited Items: Drugs, weapons, adult content, or any illegal substance under
Bangladesh law are strictly banned.
3. Order Fulfillment & Packaging
- Timelines: Sellers must confirm orders within 24 hours and hand over the product to
the courier within 48 hours. - Stock Management: Sellers must immediately update “Out of Stock” status for
unavailable items. - Cancellation: While there is currently no financial penalty for order cancellations by the
Seller, frequent cancellations will negatively affect the Seller Rating and visibility on the
platform. - Packaging: Sellers must ensure professional and secure packaging to prevent damage
during transit
4. Commission & Financial Settlement
- Commission: RupBaz will deduct a predefined commission from each successful sale.
- Payout Cycle: Earnings will be credited to the Seller’s wallet after the Order
Completion and the Return Period has expired. - Payment Methods: Payouts are processed weekly via Bank transfer or bKash.
- Fraud Prevention: RupBaz reserves the right to withhold payments if fraudulent activity
(e.g., self-purchasing, fake orders) is detected.
5. Returns, Refunds & Dispute Resolution
- Seller Fault: If a return is due to Seller error (wrong item, damaged, or defective), the
Seller must bear the return shipping cost. - Resolution: Sellers must resolve customer complaints within 72 hours.
- Final Authority: If a dispute between a Buyer and Seller remains unresolved, RupBaz
will act as the mediator, and its decision shall be final and binding.
6. Intellectual Property
- Sellers must own the rights to the images and text used in their listings. Using
copyrighted brand logos or stolen images without authorization is prohibited.
7. Account Suspension & Termination
RupBaz reserves the right to suspend or permanently block any Seller who:
- Violates any part of this Seller Policy.
- Engages in fraudulent or deceptive practices.
- Consistently receives poor ratings from customers.
8. Future Expansion (Phase-2)
International sellers (in Phase-2) must comply with export-import laws, and payouts will be integrated with global methods like Payoneer or Wise.
9. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any legal disputes shall be settled under the
jurisdiction of the courts in Dhaka.
