are a Customer, a Guest User, or a Vendor (Seller) on our multi-vendor platform.

We collect information to provide better services to all our users

A. For Customers & Guest Users:

  • Personal Identifiers: Name, shipping/billing address, phone number, and email
    address.
  • Guest Checkout: For users who purchase without an account, we collect necessary
    delivery and contact details to fulfill the order.
  • Transaction Data: Details about payments, order history, and refunds.

B. For Vendors (Sellers):

  • Business Details: Shop name, business address, and Category.
  • Legal Documents: Trade License, National ID (NID) or Birth Certificate, and Tax
    Identification Number (TIN) as required by the laws of Bangladesh.
  • Financial Info: Bank account details or mobile financial service (MFS) info for payment
    settlements.

C. Technical Data:

  • IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies to analyze web traƯic and
    improve user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Process and track orders, payments, and payouts.
  • Provide customer support and resolve disputes between buyers and sellers.
  • Send marketing communications, promotional oƯers, and system updates.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions or security breaches.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share Necessary Data with:

  • Logistics Partners: Courier services for product delivery.
  • Payment Gateways: Secure processors for handling transactions.
  • Legal Compliance: We are obligated to share information with law enforcement or government authorities if required by the Digital Security Act or other laws of Bangladesh to prevent fraud or illegal activities.

4. User Rights & Opt-Out Options

  • Access & Update: You can edit your profile information at any time.
  • Marketing Opt-Out: You may opt-out of receiving promotional SMS, emails, or phone
    calls by using the “Unsubscribe” link or contacting our support.
  • Account Deletion: You may request to delete your account.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Active Accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Deactivated Accounts: Upon account deactivation, we retain certain data for up to 180 days for audit, tax, and legal purposes. After this period, data is permanently deleted from our primary databases unless required otherwise by law.

6. Security & Data Breach Policy

  • Protection: We use SSL encryption, firewalls, and secure servers to protect your data.
  • Breach Notification: In the unlikely event of a data breach, RupBaz will notify aƯected
    users via email or SMS within 72 hours of discovering the incident.
  • User Responsibility: We encourage users to use strong passwords and enable TwoFactor Authentication (2FA) where available.

7. Child Privacy (Under 18)

RupBaz is intended for use by individuals at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Users under 18 may only use the platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

unavailable.
